How it works

How Wafir works, step by step

From creating your account to completing your circle — every step, every fee, and what happens if a payment is late.

Getting approved

4 steps

From download to your account decision, in four steps.

STEP 01

Create your account

Using your Qatari mobile number and basic personal information.

Create your account
STEP 02

Upload your documents

Your salary certificate and National Address Certificate.

Upload your documents
STEP 03

Complete verification

Live eKYC verifies your identity, and you give consent for a Qatar Credit Bureau inquiry.

Complete verification
STEP 04

Receive your decision

Within 48 hours, provided your information is complete and valid. The decision sets your tier and your approved monthly limit — the maximum combined monthly contribution you can commit across active circles.

Choosing a circle

4 steps

Choosing a circle is a financial decision, not a quick tap.

STEP 05

Browse the Circle List

See the circles currently available to you under your approved tier.

STEP 06

Review the circle details

Monthly contribution, total value, duration, available payout dates and the subscription fee — all before you commit.

STEP 07

Choose your payout date

The date that fits your goal and is available under your tier. Earlier if you need the amount sooner; later if you are saving toward a future goal.

Choose your payout date
STEP 08

Pay and sign the agreement

Confirm the payment and sign the Circle Participation Agreement. Take the time to review the terms before confirming — your subscription is then confirmed.

Every month

2 steps

The system carries the follow-up. The community carries the commitment.

STEP 09

Make your contribution

A reminder arrives before your contribution is due. You pay electronically in the app and the transaction is recorded.

STEP 10

Follow your circle

Your circle status and payout schedule stay visible at any time. If a payment is late, Wafir follows up through the system — members do not chase one another.

Your turn

2 steps

You received because others continued. Others receive because you continue.

STEP 11

Your turn arrives

Wafir notifies you when your agreed date arrives. You submit the payout request in the app, and after the required checks the amount is transferred to your verified bank account.

STEP 12

Complete the cycle

Receiving the payout is one stage in the full cycle, not the end of your commitment. You continue contributing until every member has received and the circle is complete.

What you should know

Fees, protection, and what can happen

Fees

No interest is charged at any stage of the circle. Wafir charges a clearly disclosed subscription fee for facilitating and administering the circle, shown on the circle page before you confirm. The fee is not interest and is not deducted from your monthly contributions.

Where your contributions are held

Monthly contributions are held in a segregated escrow account with a licensed Qatari bank, separate from Wafir operational funds, and used only for circle payouts under the agreed legal, contractual and banking structure. Protection comes from the structure, not from a promise.

Your credit record

Your Wafir payment history is reflected in your Qatar Credit Bureau record. Each on-time contribution documents your ability to meet a financial commitment; late payments may have the opposite effect. This is not a promise of an automatic score increase. If you believe an entry is incorrect, you can raise a dispute through the app.

If a payment is late

You are reminded as soon as your contribution is late, then at least three reminders follow. The overdue contribution must be settled before the next monthly contribution falls due or within 30 days of the original due date, whichever is earlier. Meanwhile the circle continues as scheduled; no other member is affected.

If a default occurs

If an overdue contribution is not settled within 30 days, the member is in default. The account is suspended, all remaining contributions become immediately due and payable, the default is reported to the Qatar Credit Bureau, and legal collection proceedings may be initiated under the signed agreement.

Early withdrawal & refunds

A member may withdraw before a circle officially commences with a full refund of paid contributions and subscription fees. Once a circle has started, immediate withdrawal is restricted to protect fellow members, and any settlement or refund is governed strictly by the Circle Participation Agreement.
